At My Human CIC, we believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and valued. Life can present challenges that leave people feeling isolated or uncertain about where to turn.

Our aim is to create a compassionate, inclusive environment where individuals feel safe to seek support, discover their strengths and recognise their potential. We believe that even the smallest act of kindness, understanding or encouragement can make a meaningful difference to someone’s life.

Our Community Projects

At MY HUMAN CIC, we provide education, coaching and therapeutic support to empower individuals and strengthen communities. Alongside our core services, we develop community-funded projects that offer practical and emotional support to people facing difficult life experiences.

Jackie’s Cancer Care Support, which raises funds to provide free talking therapies for people affected by cancer and their loved ones.

Research highlights the significant emotional and psychological impact of cancer, not only on those diagnosed but also on their families and loved ones. Anxiety, depression, fear, uncertainty and emotional exhaustion can affect mental wellbeing, relationships and physical health.

Recognising the importance of supporting both mental and physical wellbeing, Jackie’s Cancer Care Support was established to raise funds for free talking therapies for individuals and loved ones affected by cancer. Our aim is to complement existing medical, practical and community services by providing accessible, compassionate and professional emotional support throughout the cancer journey.

National Lottery Community Wellbeing Project

CALM, Chester | June 2025 – June 2026

Your Evolution was a free, community-based mental health initiative established by My Evolution CIC, now known as My Human CIC, with funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

The project provided accessible, trauma-informed talking therapy to individuals across Chester, particularly those experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties and barriers to accessing traditional mental health services.

Working in partnership with CALM CIC, the project offered a safe, confidential and compassionate therapeutic environment, helping individuals explore their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience and develop healthier coping strategies.

Throughout its first year, Your Evolution successfully supported 94 individuals, with particularly strong engagement from communities experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage, including Blacon, Lache and Westminster Park.

Demand consistently exceeded available capacity, highlighting the significant need for accessible, community-based mental health provision. In response, flexible therapeutic delivery was introduced through the partnership with CALM, helping to reduce barriers to accessing support.

Participant feedback demonstrated positive outcomes, including improvements in emotional wellbeing, reduced feelings of isolation and increased personal empowerment.

The project reinforced the importance of early intervention, trauma-informed practice and providing therapeutic support without financial barriers.

Your Evolution represents an important part of My Human CIC’s commitment to improving community wellbeing and ensuring that individuals experiencing psychological difficulties have opportunities to access meaningful, compassionate support.

We gratefully acknowledge The National Lottery Community Fund and National Lottery players for making this project possible.
